Walmart Deals for May 2009

wal-martThis is a list of ongoing deals at Wal-Mart (at least until the coupon match-ups expire).  Keep in mind that prices vary from store to store.  In the past, Walmart cashiers have told me they do not accept internet printed coupons.  However, their corporate policy states that they do.  So, print a copy here and politely show it to the cashier if they give you any problems.  See the end of this post for coupon insert abbreviations.

Most of the time I go to the Walmart on Hulen. Where do you shop? Did the prices I listed seem fairly accurate at your Walmart?

I haven’t been going to the one on Hulen since they started the remodel =) I live near Aledo, so I go to the one on White Settlement, Westworth Village and sometimes the one in Hudson Oaks. I still haven’t been able to find the lint roller and the No-nonsense hose was $1.50 at the White Settlement store. I find several price variances among the stores-especially on produce.

p.s. Melissa tells me you’re a fellow MMBC girl!

Yes, the remodel has been a pain! I usually go to Walmart every week, but I’ve been avoiding that place like the plague and only going every 2-3 weeks. Instead, I have shopped the sales at Kroger and Albertsons to get me through the times between Walmart trips.

I found the lint roller in the travel toilitries section (near the toothpaste aisle) at the Hulen Walmart. Their new travel section seems larger than in the past, so that may be why you don’t see it at the other stores. I agree that Walmart’s produce prices vary a lot. That is one of the things I try to consistently do price matches for with my other grocery store ads. I rarely pay Walmart’s full price on produce.

I’m in Fusion with Melissa. How do you two know each other?

We were in Elaine G.’s class at Ladies Day on frugal living (I can’t remember the actual name of the class).
